About the event
The weekend of May 25th/26th WhooshMTB and ALC Photography are bringing our MTB photo workshop to Britain's oldest National Park to take in some of the most breathtaking scenery and fantastic riding in the country - These will be two days of amazing riding, full of photo opportunities and top technique input on both your riding and camera skills. For details of Day 2, featuring a longer ride out and more ad-hoc, flexible input on riding and camera technique see here: www.facebook.com/events/365963364136680/.
Day 1 will feature a little more skills instruction on the bike, acting as a great introduction to the trails of the Peak and the techniques to get the most out of riding them. We'll look at photo skills covering the basics of both capturing a rider within the landscape and getting close in to the action of more technical riding. With a small group we can ensure you get plenty of input to improve your skills as well as making sure the shoot locations aren’t too crowded to get some banging shots. With burgeoning memory cards and satisfyingly-achey limbs we’ll retire to Hope’s famous staple pre- and post-ride fuel stop, Cafe Adventure, for some well earned refreshment and a chance to review all the best shots on the projector. This provides a helpful insight into the secrets of the pro photographer's post-shoot workflow as well as being a great opportunity to consolidate our learning. Analysing the images and the action they capture will allow us to identify areas of progress and opportunities for further development in both our photographic and riding skills.
You will leave the workshop with a number of new skills and areas you can continue to develop both in your riding and photography. You’ll also take away a collection of great images of yourself and the rest of the group, as everyone is provided with a copy of the best shots, including those Andy takes throughout the day.
The riding on this course is for the competent Mountain Biker who’s comfortable on red graded terrain but looking to increase their confidence, poise and flow on the trail. The photography element is suitable for anyone looking to improve their general outdoor or MTB specific shooting. You don’t need ‘all the gear’ but a good quality Bridge, Mirrorless or DSLR camera is a recommended minimum - Please drop us a message or email info@WhooshMTB.co.uk to book or for any further info.
Pricing is £95 per person and places are strictly limited to 4 participants - Incredible value for such a small-ratio course that will up your Mountain Bike and Photography games whilst simultaneously putting a grin on your face!
Special pricing of £140 for both days is available for those looking to make an unforgettable weekend on the trails!
