MTB Photography Workshop

Our hugely popular colab with ALC Photography returns for 2019 with this Hebden Bridge-based combination MTB and photography skills workshop.

This will be a day of bikes and cameras around Hebden Bridge consisting of three parts. Part 1 will take us to some fairly mellow trails with great views where we’ll focus on core riding skills and basics of outdoor photography. Part 2 takes us up a notch on the tech front, looking at riding technique on some of the classic descents of the Upper Calder Valley and how to make the most of the terrain and the action through the lens. For part 3 we retire to bike-friendly local purveyor of all things beer, Drink?, for some well earned pies and refreshments whilst we collate everyone’s best shots for an informal review, looking for learning points in the highs and lows of everyone’s photos and in the riding captured.

You should leave the workshop with a number of new skills and areas you can continue to develop, both in your riding and photography. You’ll also take away a collection of great images of yourself and the rest of the group to show off with, as all the best shots including those Andy captures, are shared across the group.

The riding on this course is for the competent Mountain Biker who’s comfortable on red graded terrain but looking to increase their confidence, poise and flow on the trail. The photography element is suitable for anyone looking to improve their general outdoor or MTB specific shooting.
